Women with children are among the fastest growing homeless groups in the United States. The mission of Tender Hearts House of Hope is to provide emergency shelter, food, clothing, counseling, education and compassion to struggling women and children within North and South Carolina with a focus on York County.
Tender Hearts House of Hope has two overarching goals:
- to provide temporary shelter, food and clothing to women and children in crisis
- to provide counseling education, and job training to empower women to get off the welfare system and thrive in today's economic environment.
This year, the Junior League is excited to have chosen Tender Hearts Ministries the 2011 funds recipient!
With your support we will raise funds to provide this wonderful agency with an education building, so they can better support the women and children in crisis. We are enthusiastic about this initiative and welcome any and all support!
